About us

On August 14, 2007, Pastor Lula Samuel heard the Spirit of the Lord speaking, "get up and go, do evangelism, begin a ministry!"

After much prayer and preparation we held our first bible study on September 13, 2007.  We officially dedicated ourselves to the ministry of God on November 4, 2007 and held our first worship service on November 11, 2007.

At the Path, "We are not the only Christians, but Christians only."  We profess: "No creed but Christ and no book, but the Bible."  We also believe that where the Bible speaks, we speak and where the Bible is silent we are silent.  Bible study and the preaching of the Word are the central part of our worship.  We consider the Bible to be the foundation of our faith and the first and last authority for all we do.

Our Pastor

Pastor Lula and Decon Harold Samuel

Pastor Lula Samuel's faith journey in ministry began at Galilee Christian Church in Holly Hill, SC. Her Pastor, Rev. Leon Simmons encouraged her to teach Sunday School.  As a Sunday School teacher, the seed within her began to grow.  In 1988, through the urging of God, she along with her husband, Deacon Harold and her children relocated to Columbia, SC to sow seeds and support the ministry of Agape Christian Church; under the leadership of Overseer Joseph Cobb and later Pastor Susie Cobb.  While at Agape, Pastor Lula served as Sunday School Teacher, Worhsip Leader, Financial Secretary, Deacon, and Youth Minister.

In June 1995, during a youth retreat at Christmount Christian Assembly, Black Mountain, NC; Pastor Lula heard the voice of the Lord saying, "This is what you are to do: teach my word!" She answered the call and was ordained as a minister on December 12, 1999.

Pastor Lula, served faithfully under the leadership of Overseer and Pastor Cobb until August 2007 when she was led by the Lord to start a ministry; Path of Life Christian Church.

We at the Path are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We are confident and are excited about what our Father has done and is doing!  We ask that you pray for us that we will be what God would have us to be.  We are growing and moving forward in the name of Jesus!
